OUR LABELS

We work with well-selected producers around the world where we find a common interest in sustainability and responsible production in both material selection, our environment, and working conditions. Therefore, we are very proud that many of our products are labeled with various different labels such as The Nordic Swan and Fairtrade.

The Nordic Ecolabel is the largest eco-label for furniture and interior design in the Nordic region. The requirements are gradually being raised to ensure that the products are always the best choice from an environmental and health point of view. For a company to obtain a Nordic Swan Ecolabel license and the right to label products with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, the product must belong to one of the Nordic Swan Ecolabel product areas and meet the requirements of the product type.

In order for a product to be Nordic Swan Ecolabeled, suppliers must meet the extensive requirements in the Nordic Swan Ecolabel criteria document. These criteria set requirements on, for example, the content and use of environmentally hazardous chemicals, emissions to air, water and soil, energy and resource use and waste management. There are also quality requirements regarding durability, strength, safety and stability. Inspections are carried out at the factory and only the very best manufacturers are able to meet the requirements, which are tightened every five years.

logotyp av oeko-tex

If a textile article carries the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label, you can be certain that every component of this article, i.e. every thread, button and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and that the article, therefore, is harmless for human health.

The test is conducted by our independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes on the basis of our extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalog. In the test they take into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances, which may be harmful to human health.

In many cases the limit values for the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements. The criteria catalog is updated at least once a year and expanded with new scientific knowledge or statutory requirements. It is not easy for manufacturers and customers to keep an overview of the legal situation concerning harmful substances every day. Our experts from the OEKO-TEX® institutes do this for you.

logotyp av fairtrade

Fairtrade is a system of certification that aims to ensure a set of standards are met in the production and supply of a product or ingredient. For farmers and workers, Fairtrade means workers’ rights, safer working conditions and fairer pay. For shoppers it means high quality, ethically produced products.

Choosing Fairtrade means standing with farmers for fairness and equality, against some of the biggest challenges the world faces. It means farmers creating change, from investing in climate friendly farming techniques to developing women in leadership.

With Fairtrade you change the world a little bit every day. Through simple shopping choices you are showing businesses and governments that you believe in fair and just trade.
